An hour in Saida

Driving through the narrow street of Saida with some friends was one of the most hilarious experience ever! The souks loaded with goods that are litteraly vomited out of the tiny stores, plus the cumulative smell of raw chicken, raw meet, raw everything, flies, people walking, people on bicycles, people in old damaged car, electric wire hanging from everywhere. We all naturally took out our cameras. It's amazing how Lebanon amazes lebanese. The pictures above are taken from the rooftop of "Musée Debanné"

Some Zen-ology

Mandalas, what an enchanting word. It is said that these circular drawings are a form of prayer, a meditation, a mantra. Take some ink, draw circles, while reciting a prayer for someone wishing good health, protection, happiness. That's the essence of the Mandala. Good job!

Summer some more

Not much into digital i may say. But I found it quite amusing drawing this! Oh summer don't go. Well it is proven that summer has a doping effect on our mood. It must be the Sea, (Not sure about the sex part for everyone out there) and SUN! Sun goes with Fun! With meeting people, going out every night, drinking at 6h in the afternoon a refreshing 961 at some Mar Mikhael cool spot like Osteria for exemple, and driving back home to get change and go party at a beach while watching planes take off and land all night long, listening to a crazy mix by a hot Dj or Dj-ette and watching people get wasted, horney and funny... Ahhhh, summer don't go!

La Brioche Hamra

Here's the story of a small pastry shop in Hamra that opened it's door in the 1950's. The place didn't change from back then. The decoration, the walls, the tables even the cakes and croissants look oldish. But one thing I can tell, they have the best croissant aux amandes + hot chocolate in town.

How do you see Beirut?

"How do you see Beirut today?" Based on an old Postcard of the Saint George resort, that I personally find hilarious, I tried recreating the same atmosphere and illustrate how beirut is today. Bye bye funky "Hawaiian style" babes with your funny ukulele, and HELLO hot ladies from Heaven's perched style bars in Beirut looking down on you! Well time changes...
