In mid-october, I went to Amchit on a sunday afternoon. The view was magnificent down from a rock in the sea.

As crude as Schiele, Shawki Youssef draws corps, flesh, veins where spots of vivid colors mix with delicate lines used to express Man's morphology with precision and detail.

Huguette Caland, daughter of Bechara El-Khoury, shines with youth and freshness through her 80's. Good vibes emanates from her paintings on canvas where she mixes colors, writings, patterns and delicate lines. This feminine and sensitive pieces of art are a real pleasure to watch.

At Tyre, between the charm of old souks the cuteness of old ladies (that generously taught me how to cook a Kebbit Samak, Syadyeh Hamra, Mecheh w Djej and Zlebyeh for the Eid), it was some fun relaxing days, (even thought we were supposed to sketch and draw). We couldn't help but enjoy the city, the breath taking ruins, and the dream like sea, where Nouda had a blast.
